A quick intro
Hi, my name is Devon James— a Wellness & Performance Coach dedicated to helping Entrepreneurs upgrade their energy, clarity, and resilience. Here to ensure that your input matches your output and your plan of recovery is on par with your output.
With over 15 years of experience of coaching, I’ve worked with professional athletes, Entrepreneurs, CEOs, traders, investors, and business owners who demand excellence — not just in business, but in life. My mission is to help you lead with strength, think with clarity, and perform with consistency, ensuring that your plan of input and recovery matches your level of output. By helping you balance your health to match your wealth and invest in your body, your energy, and your recovery similar to how you invest in your business.
Too many high-functioning, high performing humans burnout, lose focus, motivation, or meaning– sacrificing years of health for wealth, only to do the reverse later on. Whether you know that you’re out of balance and it’s time for a change or whether you’re a driven leader looking to continue to maximize your energy, impact, health, wealth, and focus– read on and reach out to connect if you feel I could be the right match to have in your corner as your Wellness, recovery, and performance Coach.
“If you want to leave a greater legacy, stay for a while” — Jim Rohn

Within my Coaching style, you’ll notice a unique blend of disciplines to help towards your success from my experience and continued practice of:
- 🥋 Martial Arts: for mastery of body, mind, humility, and confidence.
- 📈 Options Trading: for sharp decision-making and emotional control and distancing oneself from stress.
- 🧠 Entrepreneurship: for vision, strategy, reflection, and relentless follow-through while turning macro projects into micro steps.
- 💪🏽Health-set Coaching: for increased physical health, fitness, readiness, performance, and recovery.
- 💖Heart & Mindset Coaching: because their is too much science to ignore the benefits of practices such as meditation, visualization, self-awareness, and mindfulness for us to not use this to our advantage both in and outside of profession.
I believe that success is a reflection of both your inner state– inner environment as well as your external environment and thus, I coach clients and teams to build routines, rituals, and systems that support readiness, presence, focus, and sustainable high performance in every arena of life.
Whether you’re in the boardroom, the markets, or the gym — I’m here to help you show up as your highest, best feeling and performing self: focused, aligned, unshakably prepared with top end readiness.
Making the shift—
[To psychology, philosophy, and neuroscience]

When I first started in the health industry, over and over I would see the difference getting in better shape would make when it comes to daily mood, stress reduction, confidence, energy, focus, and quality of life for my clients, both in and outside of their workouts–
But here’s, the catch..
A strong durable and healthy body is necessary for success, energy, and sustainability, but it is not the be all end all to health, energy, peformance and happiness.
So, in my second or third year into Personal training I began to focus more of my efforts learning about psychology, philosophy, and in the past 5 years, deeper and deeper into neuroscience and understanding the science– the why behind not just physcial practices like working out and how they help us feel better, but also the science behind mental and spiritual practices like meditation and visualization and why this is so commonly use by top performers and high-level athletes and these aspects have become a core integration of many of my coaching programs, because of the positive effects.
Deepening my understanding of what we can do for both our inner and our outter environment to create and curate sustainable change is what has taken me 15 years (and an ongoing learning process) to continue to become a better coach and of higher service to my clients. It is a promise I’ve made to myself and as a Coach to never stop learning in order to continue to improve my craft, my service, and myself.
Corporate Wellness, Readiness, & Performance.
Although I still have clients reachout with various goals and backgrounds including youth wellness and mentorship, for example, the clients who align with me most and that I align with in order to connect with and to serve at the highest level are: Entrepreneurs, high level executives & Finance-based clients and teams.
Aside from having lead and trained corporate sales teams specifically with the goal of driving higher business through developing more leaders and top performers within an organization, outside of coaching and being in the gym or yoga studio myself, I also spend ample time observing and active in the markets as a former (and current) options trader.
During covid, I was coached, mentored and did my own diligence to learn, to understand the market and become an options trader— and yes, I’m still actively observing the market for the first two hours of open if I do not have prior committments with my Wellness clients. Learning about the market, and having a 2 year stint of desk-bound, full-time trading with very high volatility (both in the market and in my personal life) reminded me of just how important it is to maintain a high level of both mental and physcial health for one to be able to think clearer, distance from stress, and show up with more energy for themselves and for their craft.
Ultimately, the highs and lows during that time with my own professional were difficult at the time, but made me stronger, wiser, more resilient, and of better service to myself and to others.
Afterall, “What doesn’t kill you, if properly reflected upon from a distance, in order to analyze and make necessary changes, makes one much stronger, more resilient, and more prepared the next time around…” (pretty sure that’s how it goes right?).

More reasons to reach out to connect:
Just in case you’d like to get me even further before connecting.
During my programs, I won’t ever ask you to do something I’m not willing to, nor is there any product or service linked to my site that I have not personally used and stand by. Here’s a few more “fun” facts below for those who are interested.
I’ve had multiple injuries including a car accident in 2020 requiring extended physio, I’ve gone through the high’s and lows (financially, mentally, and physically) of being an entrepreneur in the past I had times suffereing through regular heightened anxiety and panic attacks, I’ve been someone with supreme confidence in myself, as well as someone who’s lost it all and I’ve had to rebuild from the ground up. Just like many of you– especially the entrepreneurs.
All of these experiences have helped me to learn different coping techniques so that I may keep myself grounded, regain my focus, and keep my own cup full as I help others– backtesting my own strategies for health on myself, while passing on these strategies to my clients, of course.
I’ve learned that confidence and feeling good are not based on feeling– they are based on our physical state, self talk, recovery, systems, accountability, inner and outter environment, and of course our daily acions, and the ongoing adherence to the systems we have in place– and yes this is a lot– this is why the best performers invest in not only themselves– but in their support team.
Gret athletes have great coaches. Great performers have great mentors and support– along with their systems– period.

If something is difficult, but worth it in the end– it’s not time to give up. Keep your head up and find a way forward, because you’re likely only 1 or 2 daily habits away from a completely different quality of feeling, quality of day, and the higher quality of life you are looking for...
