Sitting on the couch will not get you motivated. . Feeling sorry for yourself will not get you motivated. . Poor self talk will not get you feeling motivated. . Ruminating on your problems will not get you motivated. . Instead: . Take an action. No matter how small... . Go and give yourself a chance to progress, because progress is motivating💫❤️ . Peeling back the layers is how we find our truest Peeling back the layers is how we find our truest self. . Anytime I pass on a lesson or share a story, it’s because somewhere along the road, I made a mistake and I’m just doing my best to be better. To forgive myself, to learn, and to carry on. . But this time with a little more patience, love, and empathy. . Or maybe I’ve passed on a lesson from a book I read or that I was taught by someone smarter than me— with more life wisdom than I. . We add so many unnecessary layers to ourselves, only to one day realize that most of them were a facade. That the truth of who we are was always there. . The truth in my eyes is that we don’t need to find happiness, love, abundance, or opportunity— because we are happiness, love, abundance, and opportunity in the form of energy. . And once we’re able to believe that, we start to see it. The world starts to change what it gives us, based on what we look for. It’s a mirror more than a window. We just need to see through the dust. . Thank you. For those who believe in me like I beli Thank you. For those who believe in me like I believe in you. ❤️💫 . I am so grateful for each, and everyone of you who has supported along the way. Especially early on in going back to working for myself. 2020 to 2022 was pulling back to bow almost until it’s breaking point — or maybe it did break. But I was able to pick it back up to draw it again due to the people around me. . I am so blessed to be able to connect with so many wonderful people to be part of so many wonderful stories, and to share so many wonderful moments. . There are ups, there are downs, but no matter what happens, we will get through it together. Time moves forward. Everything is temporary, both happiness, excitement, and laughter along with tears, sorrow, and hardship. . Taking on less clients now, but I’ll still certainly do my best to make time for anyone willing to make time for themselves, looking to put themselves first, and wanting to grow into their higher selves. . Sometimes that’s adding new layers, but most the time it’s removing the unnecessary ones we’ve added on. . For those who do work with me, you know that what we do is much more than just just about working out and the physical. . From people very good at accumulating wealth, while mitigating stress here are a few tips. 5 Ways to Improve your Financial Situation in 2024👇🏽❤️ 👉 Find a 2nd income source (find/team up/or create) Most ideal: one that is aligned with who you are, flexible, and has high growth potential. This is what I found/manifested this year and holy, my world is changing. 👉Move on from your current job Is your job still serving you? Paying you your worth, increasing your value & you have time flexibility? Or is it paying you just enough to be complacent, yet stagnant. 👉Ask for a raise at your current job Or ask what do I have to do to make x amount here? This is great if you like your job— but financially generally has far lesser impact then the first two ideas. 👉Look around. Be open to new opportunities. I stayed at the same job with my head in the sand for 8 years. The last 4 I had far surpassed the value they could give to me only to realize how many other options once I pulled my head from the sand. Unless you absolutely love what you do, while being paid your worth, and have time flexibility — look around & at the very least, be open to hearing out opportunities. 👉Spend smarter - Become aware of your spending habits or meet with a professional for help on this - Invest in yourself more (books/courses/self-education & mentorship - Pick 1-2 of your high spending, low return spending patterns to focus on improving (eating out or clothes, for example) It’s astounding how many people say I can’t afford x while spending astounding amounts on y. Setting Goals in 2024👇🏽❤️ Just finished Setting Goals in 2024👇🏽❤️ Just finished sitting down with a client at the coffee shop, with the goal of helping her create clarity in her goals for the2024. To help ensure she is set up to maintain focus and not lose sight of both her main goals and her why. Here’s are some questions I asked to help her create more clarity & focus into the new year. Do you have your top 3 Goals written down for 2024? The ones that give you the most return on your time/energy💫 What are the 2-3 vital actions to help each of those? — the 2-3 must do’s. Have you written a success story for 2024 that you can read to yourself along the way? How important is the third goal? Is it time sensitive with impact we need now? Me: proceeds to cross it off. We do not need to pull our focus. We will add it back on once the first two are complete & habitual. That can— and should wait.. Step 2: adopting systems to make sure we stay focused, and be progressive, instead of busy... 💫 It’s easy to be busy, overwhelmed, but not effective. To spin the wheels, without actually gaining traction or moving forward 💫 What is your success story for 2024? You don’t have to know the how— the why is more important. Along with the fact you have it written and remind yourself often. I know my goals in 2024 and each day I shall see it in my mind and do my best to complete one worthwhile action per day. I believe in myself and I know why I’m doing what I’m doing, and therefore it shall be made manifest— as all of our thoughts are. Key habits for the Entrepreneurs👇🏽❤️ 🔑 What is entrepreneurship? Testing yourself, while expanding your comfort zone and your self-awareness for a pay check. Do you have to be an entrepreneur for this post to be relevant? absolutely not. As someone who’s been on both sides of the entrepreneurial life (multiple times) Here’s what I’ve learned to prioritize— by not prioritizing them at some point, losing myself, then living the difference. - Make time to workout. Stretch. Get & stay in Shape. Go to the Gym often. Move. - Surround yourself with positive people that root for you.— that are happy when you are both doing well and not well. - Step away from the computer and from home often - Schedule your self-care routines first** - Stop eating garbage. - Get organized if this is not up to par. Lack of organization causes a ridiculous amount of avoidable stress - Flow between work & rest often — when you rest— rest. Enjoy the journey— that’s why you’re doing this. - Go to bed early. - Go to the spa — haha seriously though. And go to @nomorewrinkles in Burlington if you do ;) - Make certain your self talk is empowering. In the words is Jim Kwik, “Your brain is a supercomputer and your self-talk is the program you will run” And a last reminder from yours truly, Achieving a goal without enjoyment of the journey is of the upmost of failures. On Coaching Youth:👇🏽❤️ When you were a On Coaching Youth:👇🏽❤️ When you were a teen how much did you listen to your parents advice? What if it was great advice? My answer— pretty much crap-all. lol. What if they told me what to do instead of ask or suggest? even more crap-all.. (Sorry mom, sorry dad. I love and am grateful for you both— it was a reflection of me and where I was at at the time 💫) You love and intend to help your kids I know. But how much did you listen to your parents? Crucial for youth, and also just as effective for adults when it comes to coaching or giving advice of any sort: Lead by example. Connect. Always lead with the heart first. Do something they enjoy— and that benefits. Explain the why. Ask, don’t tell. Support. Encourage. Listen. Use an external resource— hire a Coach. Maybe you’re not the one they need to hear advice from and they just need your support and belief in instead. On a last note, this sweet girl can crack eh? lol. And remember, if we can do it, so can you. It’s all for something greater ❤️ ⬇️ 2 It’s all for something greater ❤️ ⬇️ 2020-2022 I hit some very low moments, and there were many tough times I spoke to very few about at the time. During those years, I lost some friends. I struggled mentally, physically ,financially, and relationship wise. Each of those years in each of those categories were all very different for me. And each very unique. Definitely some of the lowest lows I’ve had— but here’s the catch: The universe never gives hardship without also giving an opportunity to learn a worthwhile lesson 💫 Sometimes that lesson is to cherish the moments with those around us and be more present. It could be to respect ourselves and be more selfish. To not let go of our positive habits. Or maybe to be more patient, kind, empathic, or build character of some sort. All I can say, is that my tough times have made me more human, more relatable, and more capable to help others. And especially as a Coach, there’s value in my ability to say, “trust me I’ve been that road, it didn’t workout well— go this way instead... To anyone who went through challenges this year— if you’re reading this, you’re still here— and somewhere, there’s a lesson worth the hardship— you just don’t see it yet. 14 years & Going 👇🏽❤️ When I started in 14 years & Going 👇🏽❤️ When I started in the wellness industry, I was a Fitness Coach. In my early 20’s that’s really the only way I knew how to help people get healthier, feel more confident, and seperate from stress. Which does work— to a point. Over time, life itself has taught me what health is really about & what it takes to be our best, so we can give our best. Here are some lessons I’ve learned on what health really is about: - Physical ability to function, move, say yes to life, and protect - Using empowering self talk - Becoming more observant of ourselves - Being able to forgive faster - The ability to create distance from emotions faster - Recovery: Sleep. Nutrition. Rest. - To have goals & dreams worth pursuing - To say yes to ourselves more often - To mitigate and recover from stress - Community. Friendship. Love. Support. My clients tell me I’m a good story-teller. That I have good lessons to share. And honestly, it’s because especially in my youth, I made a lot of poor decisions that lead me to harder times then necessary— but also with greater lessons to share. Nowadays, I think of myself as a Health & Wellness Coach— or just, Coach. My job is to serve. I make sure to give to myself so I can give to others. And if the people around me are happier and elevate higher, then so do I. There’s so much I’m excited for in 2024. I’ve got 2 businesses that succeed based on the success of others and both of my teams are on fire. Making new friends past 30👇🏽❤️ (or what Making new friends past 30👇🏽❤️ (or whatever the heck age you are) Let’s face it, especially if you’re an introvert playing the role of an extrovert (or VERY introverted). It can be difficult to make new friends. Luckily, I make many connections and friendships through Coaching, although that’s not always been the case (i.e. being a full-time day-trader and one with my computer previously— a high/low growth experience story for another day..) Time in solitude is healthy and necessary for growth. Too much time in solitude, can have the opposite effect (similar to time spent with people who do not support your best self…) Here are some ways I’ve met new and wonderful friends in the past year ❤️💫🙂: • Working more often at the coffee shop • Smiling and complimenting strangers often • Going to the gym(s) • Saying yes to a social event I may not want to g, but if I know I’ll be glad I did once I get there • Asking for coffee meet ups (you’d be surprised how many people, even near strangers will say yes to this) • Volunteering • Taking part in rec sports and/or workout classes • Being the energy I want to attract • Network Marketing 💫👆🏽 The last is something so many people misunderstand or write off because of a story or previous bad experience. I meet amazing people with similar values, get to use top-tier products to support my goals, and create another means of income with people of my choosing. And they all love dancing. What’s not to love there. How to turn around your mood ⬇️ As someone w How to turn around your mood ⬇️ As someone who has turned stress to anxiety and anxiety to full-blown hyperventilating panic attacks, here’s what NOT to do when you’re stressed— from experience. - Turn one stress into a stress loop by making it worse than it is - Stop your healthy routines, like working out, going to bed early, eating, waking up early, or talking to friends - Keep everything bottled in, don’t talk to anybody because you feel like a burden or are embarrassed of failure - act like everything is OK in order to come off as stronger and avoid seeking help - Start thinking about past and future stresses that don’t matter to add to your current stress. And as someone who’s gotten better at separating from stress and helping my clients, do the same. Here’s what you CAN do: - See problems as they are not worse than they are - talk out your stress with loved ones or friends or a helpline early on - tell whoever you’re talking to if you are looking for a listening ear, a solution, or both - Take time to meditate, be aware of your breath, and get back to the present moment - Exercise, sweat, go to the gym, get the blood flowing and body moving— **ALTER YOUR BODY LANGUAGE to be more positive** - continue with your healthy routines, even if they are half assed or shorter duration - Continue seeing friends and loved ones that support you - Remember that you’re human and it’s okay to not be okay - seek professional help early if you’re struggling ❤️ Feeling out your emotions is healthy, although blowing them up and feeling them deeper and longer (especially negative emotions) then necessary— is not necessary. Usually when we have five negative challenges on our mind, only one or two (or none) will still be a week from now— and if we switch our focus and the body language of someone who is not stressed, someone who is feeling great and confident— guess what usually happens faster? Are you having a bad day👇🏽❤️ We all nee Are you having a bad day👇🏽❤️ We all need time to feel, in order to heal. Although, with mindfulness, forgiveness to ourselves, and through evaluated life experiences— We can drastically shorten— or lengthen— the time necessary to heal. To recover. To feel like ourselves again and to see things clearer. The hardest times of my life where I lost the most, in the shortest time frame, taught me the most worthwhile lessons. Because I got to see how much more difficult I made my hardships by letting go of my positive routines. And how much easier it made handling them and seeing my troubles for what they were— when I stayed committed to my feel-good habits. Life, at times will be both full of joy and good fortune. At others, hardship. Either way, it’s nothing personal. It’s just life. Trying to teach us lessons in love, gratitude, empathy, patience, forgiveness (to ourselves more than any other), and grit; our ability to endure. When my clients are having a bad and they show up for themselves anyway— that’s when I’m most proud. Those are the days that may not move the needle physically as much— but they add up to the most. And if we miss— just try not to miss twice in a row. Get back on the healthy horse quick as you can. As I get older, certain things become more valuable: Friendships Time to myself Time itself. Time goes by fast and personally, I’m here for a good time, not to waste it or just watch it pass— hopefully a long time too, but that’s less in my control. The last point above, is so valuable and something I see many miss on. Scheduling and planning— getting ahead of their week— and planning time for themselves first. If you don’t make time for yourself however, no one’s going to do it for you. As a parent, you can have all the tools, but, like a partner in a relationship, no matter how good your advice is, and where it’s coming from, you simply may not be the right one to give it… . When I was a kid I didn’t listen to my parents, I found my own way, but along the way, I had coaches, I had mentors who for whatever reason I listened to. People who believed in me and shared their stories, give me guidance and tools to move forward easier in life. To be a better person with better habits, and put myself on a better trajectory. . The most rewarding thing about all the mistakes I’ve made is now I get to use them to help others specifically the next GEN who are still struggling. Socially from Covid, from comparison, from isolation, from low self esteem, from the feeling of no choice— to the feeling of too many choices to make… . Many times, the kids not playing sports or not doing well, academically or struggling the ability to succeed, they just need a spark and someone to believe in them. Someone who is not their parents. And perhaps a different style of learning and being spoken to. . Being a coach is a special role I take very seriously especially when it comes to youth Gen coaching and it gives me a special kind of gratitude for the mistakes I’ve made and the mentors I’ve had along the way who helped to mold me as I do the youth I work with these days . I’m not going to talk to them like you do, if they tell me, they smoke weed, I’ll tell him the truth, that I smoked more. That I drank more, that partied more and harder, that I’ve gained more and that I’ve lost more. That I hit many of the same walls they’re struggling to climb over. Multiple times. But I’ve found ways around and they can too. . Habit stacking is a simple way to build small positive habits into a part of your lifestyle. 💫Here are 8 ideas for habit stacking to start with💫 • Working out straight after (or before) going to work • Walking for 20 minutes after dinner • Bringing a water bottle when you go into work meetings • Reading a book (or podcast listen) while sipping your morning coffee • Saying a prayer, giving thanks, or meditating for three minutes after dinner • Listening to an inspiring and/or educational podcast on the drive to work • Booking a yoga class any day you play a sport or have a stressful meeting Working out btw is IMO a happiness-stacker, because on days I and my clients workout there is almost automatically other benefits attached (i.e. healthier eating, increased energy, less stiffness, earlier bedtime, and more...) 3 🔑 ‘s to flow state⬇️⬇️ I’m sure 3 🔑 ‘s to flow state⬇️⬇️ I’m sure at some point you’ve heard of being in flow. Likely at some point you’ve been there. Focused yet not overthinking. Moving physically, but still mentally. Letting the body do the work. It is the peak state for performance of any kind. But how do you up your chances of being in flow? 3 keys to getting into flow ⬇️ 1. Your mind must be clear 💫 Flow does not happen when you think— or when you overthink. Rid yourself of distraction and mental clutter to help clear your mind. The mind is meant for creation, not storage. The best ways I know are to meditate, to write, and to visualize your outcome in advance. To focus not on outcome. To consciously observe and separate. This may include following your breath, a conversation of awareness, and observing with yourself, while your eyes are closed. Take away your senses. 2. Your body must be prepared 💫 The point of practice, drilling, and repetition is not just for the now, it’s for later. Practice does not make perfect— perfect practice makes perfect. Be physically ready, even if what you’re preparing for is not a physical challenge. 3. You must be present 💫 So you’ve done the visualization, the meditation, and the practice— you’re prepared. Now you must learn to trust your practice, to trust yourself, to trust your instincts. To forget about past and future, thinking and doing and focus on being. There is a quote from the movie the movie Troy, I like that goes , “You must think about his sword and your sword—and nothing else”. And another from Bruce Lee that goes, “be like water”. In that there is so much wisdom. So much truth. And so much power. Just some evening thoughts. Avoiding Paralysis by Analysis ⬇️ ❤️💫 Avoiding Paralysis by Analysis ⬇️ ❤️💫 Do you ever have so much to do that you just get lost and end up doing nothing? or allocating time checking off the least important things on your to do list? It’s called paralysis by analysis and it gets the best of all of us sometimes. Here are 3 key steps to take when you’re feeling overwhelmed: 1️⃣ Talk it out 💫 A good friend, a coach, a mentor. Someone you trust who will listen. Someone who will help you get things off your chest— immediately you’ll feel a little better. (If you can’t think of anyone, grab a peice of paper and write out all of what’s on your mind— take the clutter and stress out of your head and onto a peice of paper instead) 2️⃣ Organize 💫 Urgent & Important | Urgent | Important non-urgent | Someday If you categorize your overwhelming to-do list— it’s likely that although there may be plenty to do— not all of it needs to be— OR SHOULD BE— done now. Breathe... 3️⃣ Use the right tools 💫 Sticky notes personally drive me insane. They are cute, but inefficient. Maybe good for a positive reminder on your mirror, but not as an appointment reminder or storing phone numbers... Google calendar. Organizational apps. A Coach or Mentor to help you get organized and put the proper systems in place. Remember: The busier you are, the more important your organizational systems are— and the more important making time to fill your own cup throughout the week becomes. I book my workouts/personal “zappers” into my week before anything else. That’s the only reason I can show up at my best for others. Struggling with stress and feeling overwhelmed?
