Success isn’t just about what you do.
It’s also about how supported you feel while doing it.
As solopreneurs, remote workers, and high-performing creators– as humans.. We often pour everything into building something meaningful. We optimize our routines, track our habits, focus on growth—and yet, a lot of us still feel something is missing.
And that something?
For the driven, yet solo often solo workers.. for the introverts, or the introverts that others classify as extroverts do to our ability to put on many caps– our social wellness is often what’s missing.
🌱 What Is Social Wellness, Anyway?

Social wellness is your ability to connect deeply—with yourself and with others. It’s not only being mindful to take great care of your own wellness rituals, but it’s the strength of your support system, the confidence in your social skills, and the quality of your relationships.
And it’s often overlooked.
We tend to think that success is built in isolation. That hustle is a solo mission. But when you neglect your social health, here’s what happens:
- You burn out faster
- You feel misunderstood or unmotivated
- You get stuck in your own head
- You lose sight of your “why”
Success becomes quieter, lonelier, and heavier than it needs to be.
💬 Why It Matters (Especially If You Work Alone)
Let’s be real:
Entrepreneurship can be isolating.
Solo travel, while exciting, can get lonely.
And working remote, while freeing, can leave us craving deeper connection.
But here’s the good news:
Social wellness isn’t about becoming more extroverted, forcing small talk, pickup lines, or having to fake who you are. It’s about practicing simple habits that help you feel seen, supported, and socially ready for the life you want to live.
🔑 3 Signs Your Social Wellness Needs Support
- You feel isolated even when you’re busy
- You have no one to share your wins (or losses) with
- You avoid conversations out of discomfort, low energy, or simply because you are unpracticed at approaching (or like many– you’ve never been taught)
Sound familiar? You’re not alone. And this is exactly why I’m on a mission to help cure lonlieness— and to help independent professionals build the skills and systems that support both inner and outer connection.
🛠 What To Do About It (Starting Today)
Here are three ways to strengthen your social wellness this week:
👋 Start more conversations or simply practicing saying hello, smiling, and being fully present when in conversation or after asking someone how their day is going? (perhaps starting with a rule to say hi to your neighbors while at the coffee shop is a simple way to increase your daily interactions)
📱 Update your social media to reflect who you really are. This way, when you stay in contact with someone new, they might have a few shared passions to connect on
🧠 Make sure you have plenty of positive input for your social wellness- making time to read great books, listen to positive podcasts, or writing for 10 minutes before you work can increase the quality of your thoughts, while creating clarity for yourself– and even sparking or enhancing more daily conversations
These may sound simple, but over time, these micro-actions build a socially confident lifestyle—and that affects everything from business growth to emotional resilience. As my mother often says,
“Remember mijo– practice makes progress”
💡 Final Thought: Success Doesn’t Have To Be Lonely
You don’t need a hundred friends or perfect communication.
But you do need support, community, and confidence in connection. You need to practice if you want to get better. Practice making time for yourself. Practice smiling and saying hello, or showing interest in what others are doing. Practice putting yourself out there. Practice being seen— a gift for yourself and to others that will allow them to feel safe doing the same.
Because real success?
It’s not just about what you build.
It’s about who you become—and who you get to share it with.
